Meeting with Usman Dar "Special Assistant of Prime Minster Youth Affairs" at Prime Minister House Dated: 23-10-2020

Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (IWCCI) establishes free help desk for the applicants of Kamyab Jawan Youth Loan Scheme. This help desk is established to facilitate and guide women and young girls to fill applications. Samina Fazil in meeting with Usman Dar proposed that women chamber to be taken on board for shortlisting the applications from twin cities and KP , FATA, Gilgit Baltistan to ensure genuine applicants. IWCCI Former President Farida Rashid suggested that IWCCI is available to help women applicants for making feasible business plans and will also assist in running the business successfully. Naima Ansari, Former Vice President FPCCI/IWCCI mentioned that we have already worked on sectors and identified need oriented businesses in which women can start business taking advantage of the loan facility available.

Expo & Exhibitions

Since inspection IWCCI have done Five mega Islamabad expo and various life style exhibitions the purpose of these expos is to provide a market place to home based business and also learning its service learning opportunities for women in business’s. Our aim is to build linkage between rural skilled women and urban entrepreneurs. Under one roof women entrepreneurs get to know about the product quality and pricing of their competitors in the market. IWCCI objective is to promote women in nosiness local national and international market. Internationally we also participate in Exhibitions depending upon our members need. Through our platform, our members also get opportunity to participate in different national and international expos on very subsidize tariffs. Islamabad Expo, Wibfest, life style exhibitions are few of the brand activities of IWCCI.

Report on Khadija’s Award

Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized first Khadija’s Award on 6th march 2019 at Islamabad Club. The basic aim of organizing the event was to celebrate Women’s day and appreciate their achievements, reward and acknowledge the hard work of some of the most successful, entrepreneurial and inspiring business women.

Meeting with TEVTA

This activity was conducted on 3rd may, 2019. The basic aim for formulation of this firm is to enhance global competitiveness in Punjab through a quality & productive workforce by developing demand driven, standardized, dynamic & integrated technical education & vocational training service.

Tax Amnesty Scheme

This activity was conducted on 24th, June, 2019. An Interactive session at Regional Tax Office Islamabad in which Commissioner IR gave briefing on Tax Amnesty Scheme. An awareness session about how to fill tax and the percentages of tax for different businesses for Women Entrepreneur.

Pakistan Stock Exchange

Pakistan Stock Exchange Collaborated with Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry for an awareness session on savings and investment in stock exchange market. MOU Signing with Islamabad Women Chamber also took place.

Awareness Session on "Business Communication Skills"

Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with SMEDA organised an Awareness Session on “Business Communication Skills”. As business communication plays an integral role in the success of any business. IWCCI conducted business communication workshop for it’s members, women in business in collobration of SMEDA Trainer also trained on basic functions of verbal and written communication in business. As the success of the business entirely depends on how well it is communicated to the user/consumer.

Workshop by Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA)

Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) organized a one day training on “Business Communication Skills” in collaboration with IWCCI and Product Development Hub held at Federation house on 30th July 2019, Tuesday. The basic aim of this workshop was to facilitate women entrepreneurs understand the concepts of communication skills and help them adopt these skills to make their businesses profitable.

Orientation Session with Deutsche Gesell shaft Fur International Zusammenarbeit ( GIZ) Gmbh

This meeting was conducted in the month of August. IWCCI & Deutsche Gesell shaft Fur International Zusammenarbeit ( GIZ) Gmbh Organized an Orientation Session . Orientation Session was comprised of the briefing on the Career Counseling & Job Placement supported by The TVET Sector Support Program.

Meeting with First Lady of Pakistan

This meeting was conducted in the month of August. Meeting with President Dr.Arif Alvi, Ms.Samina Fazil Founder President, Ms.Rizwana Asif President and executive committee of Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Meeting H.E Yao Jing, Chinese Ambassador

This meeting was held in the month of September. Ms.Rizwana Asif, President IWCCI Ms. Samina Fazil, Founder President, Ms.Nasira, Senior vice president meeting H.E Yao Jing, Chinese Ambassador. IWCCI Vice president Neelum Nayab and other executive members also at the meeting.

Meeting with Chinese Cultural Councilor

This meeting was held in the month of September. IWCCI executive committee & office bearers met with His Excellency Mr. Heqing Zhang Chinese Cultural Councilor.

USAID SMEA Training on Business Management and Business Marketing

The training was held on 2nd n 3rd of October 2019 at Marriot Hotel Islamabad. The Second slot was held on 8th and 9th of October 2019. The training on business growth and digital marketing was headed by Ms. Meenah Tariq, Consultant at USAID SMEA, Head of Strategy and Accelerator at invest and innovation. The whole information related to the application for Grant funds offered by USAID SMEA, in which grants are available to Women Led Businesses, ICT, Hospitality, logistics, Textiles, Agri-businesses and processing and Light Engineering.

Training on Accounting and Book Keeping

The activity was conducted on 21st November, 2019. The basic aim of the training was to equip participants with emerging concepts, proven skills and knowledge on accounting and book keeping that will help to grow SME’s to establish and strength their organization systems to achieve future profitable growth. The program is being offered by SMEDA under National Business Development Program for SMEs (NBDP) to extend Non-financial Advisory Support to Small and Medium Businesses.

5th Islamabad Expo 2k19

Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized 5th Islamabad Expo 2k19 on 14th and 15th December 2019. After 4 consecutive successful events previously organized IWCCI planned 5th Islamabad Expo. The basic aim of this event was to provide an opportunity to women entrepreneurs to display the products they are skilled in.

SAARC WE Portal Training

The training was held at Islamabad Marriot on 29th 30th and 31st of December 2019. The basic aim of this training was to register the women entrepreneurs at the SAARC We Portal to promote-Women entrepreneurial networks for advancement of their businesses. Co-operation and partnerships for promotion of their products and services and to facilitate women entrepreneurial activities for betterment of their economies.
